I was so honored when I was asked to snap a few photos for their team's t-shirt.

The Wait is Over...

It's mid-September...and around this house we know what that means! Hunting season is upon us and my two boys, D & G, live for this stuff! Here are a few pictures from this evening's dove hunt...

No one is more excited than this guy! And he knows now is the time to show that all the "off-season" training really does pay off. This is also the same dog that when we take walks around the neighborhood he spends most of his time watching the sky, looking at all the birds flying by.

And finally...how about this weather lately? I know the fall weather is not here to stay...but it sure has been a nice break! After months of wishing daily that we could just pack up and move to a "cooler" state, we finally had some temperatures in the low to mid- 80's. Check out that Texas sunset!

Well I'm entering it in a photo contest over at I {heart} faces. The category is "Completely Candid"...meaning the picture has to be a spur-of-the-moment, completely candid, non-posed shot.

Nothing gets anymore candid than this sweet picture of our precious niece, Peyton, and our lovely pup, Sadie.

See this little guy at the top of the tree in my parent's backyard?

It's a hummingbird and he was nice enough to hang around for a while...long enough for me to get some really neat pictures!

These birds are so fast and amazing!
No wonder he likes their backyard...

Even hummingbirds can teach us some valuable life lessons...
