Learning to Fly

Well, our visitors have taken flight. The nest is now empty.

It didn't take long before the baby birds were up, poking their head around and stretching their wings. I watched for a couple of days as Momma Bird gave her baby birds 'pep-talks' as if telling them pointers on how to fly. She would fly back and forth from the nest to the roof of the house while they would practice using their wings.

It was amazing. She never once took her eyes off of them.
